NBA DFS – 10/20/2018

10 games today. Back to backs are now starting to come into play so keep an eye for news of coaches resting players.

BKN @ IND (-8.5) o/u 214

BKN: This is the scond leg of a back to back for both teams. LeVert has been on a roll and his price has gone up to $6500 now. Jarrett Allen is getting his minutes and is looking good. He is probably my favorite play of this slate and still underpriced. Blowout potential is a bit of a concern still

Tier 1: LeVert, Allen
Tier 2: Russell
Tier 3: Crabbe, Dinwiddie, Kurucs

IND: Oladipo has had back to back underwhelming performances. This could be his get right game. If this games stays close this will be a steal at $7900. More a GPP play still. Sabonis is a GTD so if he sits that gives Thad and Turner a bump up. Evans could some extra run as well as is intriguing, but feels a little too pricey right now.

Tier 1: Oladipo (GPP)
Tier 2: Sabonis, Turner, Collison, Evans (GPP)
Tier 3: Thad, Bojan

TOR @ WAS (-1.5) o/u 220

TOR: Toronto is sitting Kawhi as this is the 2nd game in 2 nights for the Raptors. This bumps up Danny Green, Kyle Lowry, and Vanvleet the most. C.J. Miles and OG should get some extra run too, but the usage will go more to the other 3. The big question is if Howard is playing or not. If he does then Nick Nurse should give the start to Valanciunas. He would be a great play at $5500 if that is the case.

Tier 1: Valanciunas (if Dwight plays), Kyle Lowry, Green, Vanvleet
Tier 2: Ibaka
Tier 3: Miles, OG

WAS: John Wall and Dwight are game time decisions. Wall should still suit up and be in a good spot to carry this team in a close one. He’s at home too so the chance of him busting is lower. If Dwight sits then Mahinmi and Jason Smith will get some extra run as well as Jeff Green.

Tier 1: Wall
Tier 2: Beal, Howard, Porter
Tier 3: Jeff Green

BOS @ NY (+9) o/u 210

BOS: Gayward has been ruled out for this one so I think that should benefit Morris and Jaylen Brown the most. This could be a blowout so you got to give the bench some consideration. Tatum and Irving are a bit pricey considering the blowout, but should have solid floors. Irving has always like playing in MSG and put up 60 and 46 DK fpts the last 2 games there.

Tier 1: Kyrie, Tatum
Tier 2: Jaylen, Morris, Rozier, Smart, Horford
Tier 3:

NY: It’s the Kanter Hardaway show in New York now. Kanter is getting consistent minutes for the first two games and is a tier 1 play at this price as long as KP is still out. He has no competition for front court minutes and the Knicks can’t afford to not have him out there. Knox played 28 minutes yesterday and should start seeing consistent minutes with the way the team is lacking in any offense outside of Kanter and Hardaway

Tier 1: Kanter
Tier 2: Hardaway, Trier, Knox
Tier 3:

ORL @ PHI (-13) o/u 216

ORL: This game could be over before it started as Orlando comes in as 13 point dogs. Vooch could get a few more minutes to guard Embiid, but even then $7200 seems pricey. Yesterday they got blown out in Charlotte and the starters only got minutes in the low 20s. This makes everyone a bit more risky and I’ll be staying away for the most part.

Tier 1:
Tier 2: Vooch, Fournier, Jerian Grant, Terrence Ross
Tier 3: Bamba

PHI: Even with the blowout on deck the sixers plays are not terrible at all. As we saw last game Embiid and Simmons can fill it up in limited minutes. They are pretty pricey today and it might be best to find value elsewhere. Fultz and Shamet should get extra run if it is a blowout and intriguing at their pricepoints. I’m basing my analysis as if it’s a blowout.

Tier 1: Shamet, Fultz
Tier 2: Embiid, Simmons, Saric, Cov
Tier 3:

CHA @ MIA (-4) o/u 219

CHA: Kemba is  great cash play option here and usually fares well in Miami. Like the price drop with the back to back as well. Batum can stuff the stat sheet and is always intriguing. He may be able to pay off the $5600 price tag today. Other than that Willy Hernangomez would be a nice play if he could get consistent minutes, but until we see that he’s just a dart throw.

Tier 1: Kemba
Tier 2: Batum
Tier 3:

MIA: Heat are still banged up so we should see a lot of minutes from Richardson again today. McGruder and Derrick Jones and Wade are all also in play until the rest of the team gets healthy. Whiteside should also get his minutes as long as he stays out of foul trouble. He could go off for a big game at any time so while he’s under 7k he’s worth a look.

Tier 1: Richardson, McGruder
Tier 2: Jones, Wade, Dragic, Whiteside
Tier 3:
