8 games today. Happy Friday.
LAC @ ORL (+1.5) o/u 218
LAC: This counts as a Tobias Harris revenge game in my opinion. His price has came down a bit to $7300 and should get good run in this one even in the back to back. There was a Boban sighting last game against Embiid and he could get a few minutes here against Vooch as well. Gortat is only $3500 and is a GPP dart at that price point. The backcourt is crowded, but also fairly cheap. Beverley is my favorite of them.
Tier 1: Beverley, Tobias
Tier 2: Gallinari
Tier 3: Boban (GPP), Gortat (GPP)
ORL: Vooch is a bit pricey again so more of a Tier 2 play. Ross has been getting minutes in competitive games and should see around 25 here again. Fournier at $5500 is worth a look and should be low-owned after a couple dud games.
Tier 1: Fournier (GPP)
Tier 2: Ross, Gordon, Vooch
Tier 3: Bamba, Isaac
HOU @ BKN (+3) o/u 216
HOU: Harden is doubtful to play again today so we should see similar rotations as the last couple games. The Rockets have looked bad to start the season, and this game won’t come easy. CP3 and Capela are both overpriced based on their recent production. Green and Melo are the plays I like the most in this one.
Tier 1: Melo (GPP), Green (GPP), Tucker
Tier 2: CP3, Capela
Tier 3: Gordon, MCW
BKN: No telling who is going to get the backcourt run between Russell and Dinwiddie. Jarrett Allen could have had a good night against the Pistons, but he was plagued by foul trouble all game. Ed Davis is a nice punt play off the bench if you need one. Harris isn’t the most flashy pick, but he does get consistent minutes. LeVert has the biggest upside of the bunch and should get around 30 minutes.
Tier 1: Allen
Tier 2: Russell, Dinwiddie, Davis
Tier 3: LeVert, Harris
IND @ CHI (+7) o/u 216
IND: Dipo still hasn’t had a ceiling type game this year yet. He now gets great matchup against Zach Lavine who doesn’t waste much energy on defense so it could be coming soon. Collison and Cory Joseph are in a time share at point where one ends up getting 30 minutes. I’ll give the edge to Collison in this one because he is the starter. Thad Young looks like a good play against Jabari Parker defense as well.
Tier 1: Dipo, Thad Young, Collison (GPP)
Tier 2: Bojan, Sabonis
Tier 3: Tyreke
CHI: Lavine has been on a roll, but this is a fade for me against Oladipo. Jabari may take on more scoring, or at least shooting. He is in a perfect bounceback spot after struggling against Millsap last game. Wendell played well against the Joker and got a $100 price bump. As long as he gets minutes I don’t mind him at 5k. Arcidiacono has quietly taken over the majority of minutes in the backcourt. Last game with Denver was a close one and he still ended with almost 30 minutes.
Tier 1: Parker, Wendell, Arcidiacono (GPP)
Tier 2: Holiday, Lavine
Tier 3: Payne
OKC @ WAS (-3) o/u 231
OKC: Another player who hasn’t had a ceiling game is Westbrook. He is fairly priced and still under 11k for now. Grant is seeing consistent minutes in the upper 20s and should continue that trend here. At 4k he is in play. Schroder’s price keeps coming down as he is now only $5300. Not bad as a GPP play.
Tier 1: Westbrook, Jerami Grant
Tier 2: Schroder, Adams
Tier 3: PG
WAS: I like targeting point guards against Russ and that thought doesn’t change here. Wall is actually very reasonably priced at $8100, plus he gets a bump at home. Howard is set to make his season debut, but I can’t see him getting enough minutes to be viable. Porter and Morris have played well against the Thunder in the past and should see plenty of run tonight.
Tier 1: Wall, Beal
Tier 2: Porter, Morris
Tier 3: Howard (GPP)
NY @ DAL (-6) o/u 217
NY: The Knicks are already in tank mode. Kanter is too risky at this point for me even though he doesn’t need a lot of minutes to go off. Vonleh, Ntilikina, and Dotson all see around 30 minutes a game and are worth a look here as well. Robinson is a punt play at center who could get a little more run against DJ. Hardaway is the only legit starter on this team who should get plenty of usage and shots. He also has a minus matchup against Wes Matthews though.
Tier 1: Dotson, Ntilikina, Vonleh
Tier 2: Robinson, Hardaway Jr.
Tier 3: Kanter (GPP)
DAL: DJ gets a great matchup against Mitchell Robinson or Kanter. Doncic as well against Dotson. Barnes is only $5300 and should see around 30 minutes tonight if you want to take a shot on him as he shakes off the rust.
Tier 1: DJ, Doncic
Tier 2: DSJ, Barnes, Wes
Tier 3: Brunson (if JJ is out)
MEM @ UTA (-7) o/u 220
MEM: No line yet, but this should be a close game if Mitchell sits. These teams match up well each other. Gasol brings his A game against Gobert and is worth a look at $7200. He put up 44.75 DK fpts in the first matchup. Conley is solid and in play at $7000 against Rubio as well. Jaren Jackson cant stay out of foul trouble it seems. He is still worth a look at $5100 in a game they will need him on the floor more, but finders crossed he can stay out of foul trouble.
Tier 1: Gasol, Conley
Tier 2: JJJ
UTA: Donavan Mitchell may be out this one. If he sits we would see more Royce and Exum. Jingles and Rubio would also get a bump up. Gobert I’ll stay away from against Gasol.
Tier 1: Royce (if Donovan is out)
Tier 2: Ingles, Rubio
TOR @ PHO (+11.5) o/u 226
TOR: This one may be a blow out from the beginning. For that reason I will be avoiding the starters more and looking to the bench. Siakam is still cheap and has been on a roll, but also may see limited minutes in a potential blowout.
Tier 2: Delon, Miles, OG, Siakam, VanVleet
Tier 3: Monroe, Kawhi, Green, Lowry
PHO: Booker is questionable so monitor that in case he plays. Warren has scored 30+ fpts over the last 2 games with him out. Ariza is down to 4.6k and worth a look. Ayton should bounceback and get minutes regardless. Mikal Bridges could get extra run in the blowout.
Tier 1: Warren (if Booker is out)
Tier 2: Ariza, Ayton
Tier 3: Bridges
MIN @ GS (-11) o/u 238
MIN: T-wolves are in a potential blowout spot here in the bay. I don’t really like anyone here except maybe Rose depe ding on if anyone misses this game. Since they are probably back to full force I don’t have as much appeal. Teague and Taj are cheap here though and worth a look.
Tier 1: Taj, Rose
Tier 2: Wiggins, KAT
Tier 3: Butler
GS: If I pay up for a Warrior it will be KD. He offers a solid floor and ceiling. The blowout here worries me a bit, but as I have said before these guys can reach value in 3 quarters.
Tier 1: Draymond, KD, Curry
Tier 2: Klay
Tier 3: Iggy, Jonas, McKinnie
