Taco Tuesday and a little 4 game slate to go along with it. Let’s break it down.
TOR @ ORL (+6) o/u 222
TOR: Whoever starts at center will be intriguing here. Orlando isn’t a good rebounding team whatsoever so they will be in a good spot. My guess would be Jonas, and if that is the case he is definitely in play at $5200. Lowry is also intriguing here with the 7.7k price tag. Leonard should play after resting in the back to back and at 9.5k I don’t have a huge amount of interest to try and fit him, but on a 4 game slate you still need to give him a look.
Tier 1: Jonas/Ibaka (whoever starts)
Tier 2: Siakam, Lowry, Leonard, Green
ORL: Vooch is rolling right now and should be in play here once again. Gordon is somewhat cheap here as he got a significant drop from the $7600 tag a game earlier and is now $6900. Not my favorite play, but he should get plenty of run against the larger frontcourt of Toronto. All of these plays do have some risk though because Toronto is a tough matchup still.
Tier 1: Vooch (GPP), Isaac (GPP)
Tier 2: Augustin, Gordon, Fournier, Simmons (GPP)
Tier 3: Ross (GPP)
LAC @ WAS (-1) o/u 230
LAC: Clippers on the back to back here coming from the ATL to Washington. This is a revenge game for Gortat, but he doesn’t get enough minutes to do much more than reach value. We’ll have to keep an eye out on the status of Danilo as he is currently questionable. Bradley may be rested here too after returning from injury after missing 6 games. If they both play then I don’t have much appeal for Lou, and likewise if one or more are out then that bumps up the appeal. Harrell should be in play regardless here and should be very chalky especially with Howard out making it more likely to stay small.
Tier 1: Harrell, Harris (down a bit if Gallo plays), Mike Scott (if Gallo is out)
Tier 2: Lou Will, Gallinari (if he plays)
Tier 3: Beverley, Shai
WAS: Drama in Washington as everyone was recently announced to be on the table to trade. Howard is most likely out for this one so that bumps up Morris and Green and Mahinmi. Wall is in play here still at 9k as I think the dysfunction won’t affect him on the court as much as it would if he was KD. Beal is pricey to me and has had back to back dud games so that raises appeal for tourneys.
Tier 1: Wall, Morris/Green (if Howard is ruled out), Oubre
Tier 2: Beal, Porter
Tier 3: Mahinmi
BKN @ MIA (-3) o/u 216
BKN: No LeVert still so Russell and Dinwiddie are in play once again. Crabbe will turn his shooting around one of these days and is cheap if you think it could be today. Allen is still too cheap, but he may be splitting minutes more with RHJ at center now. Carroll’s minutes are also on the rise adding more murkiness to the rotation as well.
Tier 1: Russell, Dinwiddie
Tier 2: Allen, Crabbe (GPP), Harris
Tier 3: Napier, Carroll
MIA: The Heat are going to be down Dragic and Tyler Johnson in this one. Winslow should be the point making him a solid play at only $4500. Ellington and McGruder should also be playing a lot here and are firmly in play. Richardson now becomes almost a lock as he’s the main scoring threat for this team and is coming down in proce to $7100. Whiteside against the Nets is a very good matchup as I always like targeting centers against them. Nothing changes here with Hassan at 8k.
Tier 1: Whiteside, Winslow, Richardson, McGruder, Ellington
Tier 2: James Johnson
POR @ NYK (+7.5) o/u 221
POR: This one is actually closer than I would’ve guessed it. Damian has a high ceiling, but I think I will pay down to Wall in most cases. McCollum is hit or miss these days and with the elevated price I’ll be avoiding him most likely. Turner, Aminu, and even Stauskas are worth a look too with Harkeless and Seth being ruled out. Lastly, Nurkic is in a great spot here and my favorite Portland play
Tier 1: Nurkic
Tier 2: Lillard, Turner, Aminu
Tier 3: McCollum, Stauskas, Collins
NYK: Not sure how I’m going to attack the Knicks here. I do like Hardaway if this game stays close. He will definitely be chucking up shots at home. Burke is another guy who is back in the rotation and worth a look at 3.9k. Kanter can’t be counted on to get the minutes he saw last game. That was more a product od Robinson and Knox being in foul trouble from the start.
Tier 1: Hardaway (GPP), Burke (GPP)
Tier 2: Knox, Vonleh
Tier 3: Kanter (GPP), Robinson
Good talk and good luck
